Where we Are
The Hotel Montecarlo is situated in the centre of Venice, in Calle degli Specchieri, at 50 metres from St. Mark Square.
How to reach the hotel in Venice:
By car
Coming by car you have to leave it before entering Venice. In Piazzale Roma, access point of Venice, you will find the "Garage Comunale", public parking area (cost: approx. 19 euro/day, reservation is recommended), which is visible on your right just arriving in Piazzale Roma. From here by public transport (vaporetto) line 1 or line 2 (same itinerary al line 1 along the Canal Grande but faster) till the station of San Marco, which is approx. 200 m far away from the hotel. The journey takes approx. 35 min. and costs around 6 Euro/person. Once in St. Mark Square go under the Torre dell'Orologio (Clock Tower) in direction Rialto, then turn right in Calle Larga San Marco and then left in Calle degli Specchieri. After a few steps you will get to hotel Montecarlo.
By train
Coming by train, get off at the station Venice Santa Lucia. Once at the Station you will see a big square on the Canal Grande. On your right you will find the boat stop of the line n. 82, on the left the boat stop of the line 1. Up here please follow the instructions as above mentioned.
By plane
By the shuttle on water Alilaguna, connecting the dock of Marco Polo Venice airport, directly to Piazza San Marco (12 euro/person - approx. 1 hour) or by bus ACTV line 5 till Piazzale Roma and then by steamer till San Marco. In case you would like to go by taxi you can choose the private taxi service on water, available from all arrival points to Venice. We recommend to use official services only (distinguishable by a yellow stripe on sides and a concession number), to handle the price before starting and to get off at Campo della Guerra, which is only 50 m far from the hotel.
